Original Martin
Company aircraft engineering drawings:
These original linen and vellum pen and ink drawings are
of miscellaneous components used in the manufacture of the Martin 202
and 404 airliners and the Martin B-57 bombers. The 19”x25”
drawings carry dates in the 40s and 50s. They make exquisite graphics
when framed as they represent a lost art form in this day of computer
generated everything.
Flight
data computers: These unused 8” diameter circular
slide rule manual computers are in original boxes, most stamped with
WWII dates. They were part of the personal flight gear of pilots and
co-pilots, flight engineers, and navigators in all the services. We
have two types available: one calculates true altitude, the other
true airspeed, as a function of pressure, temperature, etc.
Instructions are printed on each computer.
Landing gear position indicators:
These unused 3 ½ inch diameter cockpit instruments
were used in Navy versions of the Martin B-26 Marauder and North
American B-25 Mitchell bombers, and the Grumman F-7F Tigercat
fighter.
These items can be bought at the
museum or ordered by mail. There is a $5.00 shipping charge.
